TerraNua is now seeking to enhance its current team to meet the expanding demand for its services. This is an opportunity to be part of a team who are an integral part of TerraNua’s plan for expansion and success.

The Accounting Assistant will report directly to the Financial Controller, as part of a team which also includes a part-time Admin Assistant. The Finance Team regularly interacts with all other departments. The successful candidate will be exposed to all areas of the Finance function of this SME, and the role will have the potential for significant growth, as the successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow with the company.

Duties for the role will evolve as the role itself develops, but it would be anticipated to include:

  • Processing items on the Purchase Ledger & Sales Ledger
  • Involvement with preparation of quarterly & annual Management Accounts
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assistance with annual audit
  • Assisting with invoicing
  • Processing Staff Expenses
  • Financial Analysis
  • Assisting with Tax Returns
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, government authorities
  • Ad hoc duties

The candidate will not be required to be experienced (0-6 months anticipated). The candidate will be:

  • Looking to study towards a Professional Accounting Qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Ideally already hold an Accounting/Business qualification
  • Able to demonstrate a good understanding of basic accounting concepts, such as Debits & Credits
  • Able to demonstrate a level of Excel knowledge
  • Eager to learn & develop
  • Highly organized
  • Brave enough to “ask the obvious questions”
  • A good communicator, with a high level of interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with any accounting packages an advantage, but not a pre-requisite
