Nomura Chop Top Execs


[26 July 2012] -- Kenichi Watanabe and Takumi Shibata stepped down from their roles at Nomura PLC on Thursday, the New York Times reports.

Watanabe was Nomura's Chief Executive Officer; Shibata was the bank's Chief Operating Officer.

In recent months Nomura has struggled to address allegations of insider information sharing in several initial public offerings in 2010, which the bank confirmed after an internal investigation.
