Hello and welcome to today's webinar hosted by me, Joe Boyhan of MCO, and Paul Murdock of MCG Compliance Services. Today, we're going to be looking at the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act or the FCPA.

I now want to pass you on to Paul, who's going to start today's webinar. 

So, penalties, sanctions and remedies. So, corporations and other business entities are subject to fines of up to two million dollars for each known violation of the anti-bribery provision. Individuals are subject to fines of up to $100,000 and imprisonment for up to five years, for willful violation. For each violation of the accountant provision, business entities are subject to a fine of up to 25 million dollars. Individuals are also subject to fines of five million dollars and imprisonment, as well. So, you'll see that some of the fines get really, really significant.
