We are delighted to announce that our director Asia-Pacific, Kelly-Ann McHugh has joined the Risky Women Community and will be hosting a few podcasts on Risky Women Radio.

The Risky Women Radio podcast brings together risk and compliance professionals to share perspectives, insights and increase the network around the latest developments in the industry. The podcast talks about challenges, innovations and everything related to governance, risk and compliance.

MyComplianceOffice has joined the series of podcasts to bring new voices to the discussion. During this series, our own Kelly-Ann McHugh will get insights and share thoughts with other senior risky women in the compliance industry in APAC.

A bit more about Kelly-Ann McHugh 

Kelly-Ann is our Director, Asia-Pacific and a Fintech veteran with 12 years of experience in the compliance & risk management industry. She was previously Head of Regulatory Intelligence and Compliance Learning for Thomson Reuters’ APAC based in Hong Kong. 

At MCO, Kelly-Ann is responsible for the growth and retention of our Asia-Pacific region, across Conduct Risk, Employee Compliance and Control Room compliance activities. Kelly-Ann ensures the needs of our clients in Asia are met with the development of our compliance solutions and she has been working on growing the local office to support the region.

Risky Women and MCO

Organizations across the globe have been adopting policies to reduce the gender gap in compliance and ensure fair recruitment, retention, and promotion of women in the industry. We support networking groups that provide voices to women and incentivize organizations to take positive action to address industry challenges, one of them being the gender gap in senior roles. As MCO, Risky Women celebrates women who work in the financial services and incentivize the sharing of ideas to overcome the challenges of the industry.

Globally, regulators are asking organizations to review their corporate entertainment and gift guidelines as part of an enforcement to reduce bribery and corruption. As a result of this, MCO decided to run a survey to understand current trends around gifts and entertainment.
