This is a key role within the MCO Labs teams based in Dublin. The role is responsible for the implementation of technology proofs of concept and first of a kind new product. In this role, you will be working with a small, highly talented and driven group to build the POCs and first of a kind solution that will shape the future direction of the MCO product technology. Cloud & backend technology will form a key part of your toolkit, both for building solutions and powering them. In this position, you will design, build, deploy and test software, using the best tools and technologies in the market. You’ll be challenged to do things you’ve never done before, building solutions to problems that appear impossible to solve (if they turn out to be impossible, identifying and highlighting this in a timely manner will be key). Working closely with the architecture, engineering and product management teams to ensure solutions match future needs and working within the constraints of our business and available technology. This is a hybrid role; you should expect to spend 2 days a week in the MCO offices in Dublin city centre.

The Infrastructure Operations Engineer is responsible for the administration, reliability, security and continuous improvement of production infrastructure. The role sits within L2 Production Support and works closely with TechOps, Platform Monitoring, DBA and Engineering teams to maintain production stability, strengthen platform security, improve infrastructure automation and deliver repeatable operational services. The engineer will provide time zone-aligned Infrastructure and DevOps coverage as part of the organisation’s 24×5 support model and will be expected to investigate complex issues, deliver controlled infrastructure changes and independently own operational work within their areas of competence.
