Okay, it's a couple of minutes past the hour, so hello everyone, and welcome to today's webinar hosted by me, Stephen Taylor, Chief Commercial Officer at MyComplianceOffice. And Liz Hornby, Principal Learning Consultant at Eukleia. Today's webinar is titled The Senior Managers and Certification Regime: Five Lessons Learned from the Banking Sector.

So, if we can just move to the first slide, and we'll look at the context and sort of where we are now in terms of conduct, because I think it's important to put the regime into a sort of holistic context of the wider conduct journey or conduct agenda for the regulators. So, starting from the left there, just sort of briefly, in the wake of the financial crisis, we obviously had the focus within the industry on values and ethics, and the publication by firms of conduct standards and principles for the firm. We then moved into the period of culture change where organizations tried to embed those standard within their businesses and to demonstrate to the public and regulators that they were, they're changing their conduct and behaviours. Following on from that we had the conduct risk management agenda from the FCA.

That was FCA focusing on, I guess, a systematic analysis of conduct risk, and particularly conduct risk outcomes in terms of what that meant for customers and for markets. And that brought us up to date, or brings us up to date with the senior management and certification regime, obviously focusing very much on individual responsibility and accountability across the firm. For the bank, this has been in for over a year now, and for the rest of the industry, obviously being rolled out during 2018. And just at the end there at the green circle, you can see, I think it's important to look at these holistically, as I say, so perhaps up until now, we've had Conduct with a capital C, but going forward, we're going to be looking at conduct, I guess, with a lowercase C in terms of business as usual. And what means on a day to day basis once the senior management and certification regime has been implemented within your firm.
