SEC Head's Term Ending


[19 October 2012] -- IN THE past few months, rumors have been flying that SEC Head Commissioner Mary Schapiro is planning to step down from her post sooner rather than later. It now appears that she will announce her resignation plans after the November elections.

Ms. Schapiro has been a controversial figure at the head of a controversial organization since she took office in the midst of the financial crisis in 2008.
